Hi Ninap74483085,

As you have mentioned you are unable to locate the temp folder in Mac, please try the below steps locate it:

1- click on ' GO' :

2- Now select 'Go to Folder' :

3- Now you should see a box, type '/tmp' in it and hit go. This will take you to the temp folder directly.

Once you reach the temp folder follow the steps given here to give full read and write permissions to all : macOS Sierra: Set permissions for items on your Mac.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

thanks for helping, but I´m not able to reach the tmp folder with "/tmp". It just takes me to a folder called "mod".
Everytime I try to start the "creative cloud installer", I get the failure: "can´t find the "/tmp" folder. Make sure that the folder is ther, before you go on with the intsallation."

I was able to locate tmp folders by typing in "open $TMPDIR" in the terminal - but there a two tmp folders and I´ve write and read permission on everyone of it.

I´ve no idea what to do

I was having this same error. It was a permission error on the /tmp folder as far as I could see. I was able to fix it with the following steps on a Macbook:

1) Open Terminal

2) Type: sudo chmod 777 /tmp

3) Enter your user password if it prompts you for it

4) Try the installer again

What this does is change permissions on your /tmp folder to fully open access. This might be bad depending on what your kind of system or network you are on but if it's your personal laptop it might (?) be ok for the most part. The 'sudo' command gives you 'root/admin' permission to change the folder to these access levels.

I was able to download the CC app after this. If you know of a better way without having to make the /tmp folder permissions so open then I think it would be helpful... but I'm not knowledgable enough for that stuff. But hope this helps.
