set up error

New Here ,
Dec 12, 2013 Dec 12, 2013

I downloaded the free version of Adobe Pro and then subsequently purchased the Adobe IX Standard.  I get the error message "Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed.  Setup will now terminate."  I believe I have removed the original program.  How can I get my standard version to install ... I need it!  I am not highly computer savvy - need response in user friendly words.

Thanks!

Need help!
