The same issue here!

If i would follow the instructions i should try to download the update direct from the adobe update server and install it than. But there are NO NEW updates available???

Second way would be to uninstall the applications and reinstall. But i m a professional Fotografer and dont have the time to do it with 6 Applications and to be honest: i am tired of doing this. I did it the last 2 years with the AAM and the Creativ Cloud Desktop at least 20 times, because the Adobes Software Engineers were´nt able to solve the technical problems with the updater!

Same issues here. Since signing up for the PS CC and LR package on 31st Dec ive already had to contact Adobe just to get the things installed.

Now i having to do the same with the first update i get.

The  web page that the keeps getting linked to with "the soloution" is a waste of time and it seems its just the easy way out.

This issue needs fixing at Adobes end, not for us to have to track down, mess with out computers etc.

And there we have that web page posted yet again.

I've been through those steps but they don't help. I dont have a need or time to work out what the log is saying, why should I?

Why do Adobe assume everyone with this issue can make head or tail out of that log?

This is poor programming on Adobes part, and you should not expect us to jump through hoops to get your software working.

Jeff ... seriously. Don´t you think that we found that link allready ( btw. i wrote that allready in the post.). BUT i m a Photographer and i need to spend my time working on my Job and not fighting with problems that Adobe Devs are responsible for! All over the forums you can find a lot - and i mean really a LOT - discussions about problems with the AAM and Adobe Desctop Cloud since the CC was launched. SO WHAT I SEE IS: Adobe does´nt care about the clients, users and customers. Adobe just cares about increasing the economic power of the company to satisfy just the shareholders. BUT believe me. THAT is the wrong way. I m seriously upset with Adobe. And of course i did contact the support. But that is a waste of time. Its the same as it is here. Just telling again and again that u have to uninstall and reinstall and rename and and and ...  GUYS take us clients more serious and be brave enough to face the problems and tell THAT to the developers.

If there are no changes ... Adobe will loose me. Thats for sure!

In the lines below you can see one of my posts in June 2013 in the Adobe Creative Cloud forum:

"I see there is a BIG Problem with former AAM and now CC- Desktop.  I also see that you Guys from staff and MVP really work hard to give us a hand and try to find solutions for each individually. And i really appreciate that!. BUT there is a big problem that Adobe has to see and - even more important - to fix it. All over the forum you can see complaining about AAM and CC-Desktop and crying for help no matter what OS no matter what Hardware.

And HONESTLY - I m tired of deleting, reinstalling, new downloading, using Adobe Cleaner Tool, renaming OOBE- folders, fighting with sudden change to trial-versions and so on!!! I did subscribe to Creative Cloud in May 2012. And i did waste so much time trying to fix problems that should Adobe fix. I need this time to earn money to pay my monthly fee to Adobe. (btw - i did complain about that to Adobe Support - and after all i´ve got just one month creative cloud membership for free - that´s ridiculous!). After updating to the new CC-Desktop i was full of hope that all those problems with the old AAM would have been gone. But obviously .. no."

Well put and spot on.

I appreciate the help the Adobe staff are tying to give, but even to this untrained eye I can see it's not quite an isolated incident, and I can see that people aren't having any luck with that web page, so surely the Adobe staff can see this as well and should be offering more help than just telling us to go to a web site or take timeout of our day to keep calling CS.

I'm sure this is not a simple fix at out end, and having to contact tech support every time an update comes out is crazy.

One thing that surprises me is that downloading Photoshop again still downloads an older version and not an up to date version, with the update already built in. If we could get a link to a current full version that might help.

i totally agree with fliplip1! In my case there are 6 Apps available. And if i go to the download-area for Adobe updates i see for NONE of them an actual download.

And one more thought! When Adobe provides updates for the Apps and just a few moments later a lot of users write here about having problems and obviously all the same problem ... latest than Adobe Staff should see the possibility that something with software went wrong and not the users causing the problems!

Fliplip1 and AvSbgl if you would like to post the errors you discovered in your installation logs I would be happy to review them.  Without these errors though I am unable to determine why you are facing failures applying the updates.

Jeff ... please! read my words! The problems are the software and not the customers. You can download my logfile. The link i did post here allready yesterday. But there you will read that  file corruption is detected. The same a lot of others users see! Cant you see the relation between the new updates and the new discussion here! The solution is to find in the developer team!!!!!!!

Yes, it's definitely software.

Having looked in one of the logs and seeing what the updated is installing I can download the update manually, but it fails to install properly on my PC.

I tried un installing PS CC and reinstalling it and now it's installed to my temp folder. This is just getting silly and I expect I'll cancel before the first month is out.

Yes, it seems to be the same error code but its not the same problem as far as i can see.

I can download the update direclty from the servers as a zip file, and then extract the files without errors, so as far as i can see either the files inside the update are corrupt (unlikley) or it just wont instal.

Heres the thing though. when i reinstalled PS CC (now in the correct directory) its showing as version 14.0.0. Using the update feature form within PC shows me there are updates but allows me to choose what to install.

If i de select the Adobe CSXS Intrastructure 4 update, but still go fo rthe main .exe update and ACR update all goes well. I still get an error but PC has updated.

So to me (and not really knowing what im talking about) its only thr Adobe CSXS Intrastructure 4 update thats failing.

Does this make sense?

I wonder if the OP can also do this from within each aplication. Not that thats the answer but it might help.

Ok I will continue to investigate.  I did attempt to duplicate the issue here unsuccessfully.

I don't believe the infrastructure update is critical at the moment unless you are also using third-party plug-ins which have also been recently updated to require those features.  This seems unlikely as this update was released very recently.

Yes, I'm not to worried about this update at the moment, everything else is working ok, but it's very worrying and it seems quite a few of us are having to waste a lot of time on this issue.

For the record I running windows 8.1 64 bit, C drive is SSD  and all apps installed to that drive. 12 GB ram and Intel i5 CPU.

Yep - it is! And i hope that Adobe Dev´s start to realise where the problem is to find.

As most of the others i haven´t deleted or renamed any files. (no language files, no other adobe related files). My System (i did post it many times here - so just to repeat it again) WIN7 pro 64

AvSbgl I just applied the same update under Windows 7 Professoional 64-bit this morning successfully.  What security software are you using AvSbgl and Fliplip1?  Also what specific Adobe applications do you have installed?

Im using Eset endpoint security v5. All up to date.

I only have LR5.3 and Photoshop CC installed.

I tried again with no AV running, directly launching the update executable and im still getting an error, although this time it was

"Adobe CSXS Infrastructure 4

Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P7"

Another thing ive noticed is that although PSCC is runing fine the CC aplication  is telling me its not installed and that i can install it. After i do it goes back to Error U44M1P7.

This is becoming a horrible experience now.

i dont use any security software. except windows defender. just the router-firewall. I never had problems with application updates (just the updater itself made a lot of problems all over the last two years - but that is another story ...) And i didn´t change any settings since the last successfull updates. i have installed most of the applications - just flash, gaming sdk, incopy, scout and extendscript toolkit are NOT installed.

So - for testing - i did uninstall one of the application that show the updateproblem and did reinstall it. But the problems persist. Nothing changed.

Adobe CC is finally starting to become a BIG pain in my ass (LOL - at least the censoring is working) and i guess i will cancel my subscription at the end of the period, go back to the version that i own and wait for some other software companies giving me an alternative to adobe...

I did loose so much time (and my time is my money!) struggling with problems with that CC. I pay a lot every month and i am more than dissapointed about Adobe and the way the needs of clients are ignored!

I give up!
