Hi,
I've recently been trying to install Dreamweaver to my Macbook Pro (Intel chip running the latest Monterey 12.4) but i've gotten every single time the error code 198. I've tried uninstalling creative cloud completely and reinstalling it but it changed nothing. When browsing adobe support, nothing shows up for this error code and I don't have any idea on how to fix it. (By the way, all the others apps install just fine.)
I have linked the file for the error logs (converted it to .txt since adobe support wouldn't let me upload .htm files).
I thank in advance anybody that could bring me some help !

reset the cc desktop app: make sure it's in the foreground, then press:
Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R
if that fails, try to repair
https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-install-stuck.html
if that fails go ahead and uninstall using the correct uninstaller from https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-mes... and then reinstall
if that fails, do a clean cc install following each applicable step:
uninstall every cc app including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, again using the correct uninstaller, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-mes...
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
check for, and if available, update your os
repair all ms visual c++ versions that can be repaired.
update your ms visual c++, if it can be updated
restart your computer (don't skip this)
reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud
if you're unable to download the cc desktop app at this stage, use the link at the bottom of the page at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html
use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

Sme issue... I could not install version 21.3.
I was able to install a previous version (21.2) then immediately update to 21.3.

the current dreamweaver should be compatible with your os, but that's not made explicit in adobe's spec page - https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/system-requirements.html
do you have an m1 chipset on your mac? and do you have the current photoshop cc installed on your mac?

no this is a 5,1 cMP, circa 2009
I have Photoshop and numerous other adobe installed. Have not had install issues until this. The log file showed a missing file in the Dreamweaver app directory as the cause of the error. I believe my error is related to a bug in the Dreamweaver 21.3 installer.

i didn't think you could upgrade to monterey on macs after early 2013, but good on you.
anyway, i can't explain why you had to install a previous version and then update vs directly installing the updated version. but glad you got it accomplished, and it's a good thing to know.

I'm really curious how you got 12.4 Monterey running on that device.

LOL It's actualy a 4,1 with firmware mod to spoof 5,1 and has updgraded processors.
There is alot of info online but basically I am using OpenCore bootloader.
It runs very well for a dinosaur. I think Monterey could be the end of the line, though.

that did get my attention, too. but i thought you probably were mistaken about that being a pre 2013 mac.

Interesting to see that you got it working. Is it quick and responsive? No compatibility issues anywhere?
I wonder if Ventura could work in that environment too.
