Updating Illustrator CC on Mac OS 10.8.6

Second Time now I have had to type this !! So, want to update my Illustrator CC. When I try it says my OS is no longer supported and to c heck System Requirements. That states that minimum Mac OS version is 10.8.6. That is what I am running ?????

That is correct TonyTaylorQmuli the system requirements at https://creative.adobe.com/products/illustrator for Illustrator CC are not correct.  Illustrator CC (17.1.0) will not run on Mac OS 10.6.8.

Can you confirm if you are using Mac OS 10.6.8 or Mac OS 10.8.6?  I believe Mac OS 10.8.5 is the latest release of Mac OS 10.8 according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OS_X_Mountain_Lion.

If you are using Mac OS 10.6.8 and are unable to upgrade your operating system then I would recommend utilizing Illustrator CS6.  It is included with your membership.  Please see Download previous versions of Adobe Creative applications - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/download-previous-versions-creative-applications.html for information on how to install Illustrator CS6.
