I'm new to photoshop, at least its been a while since i've used it. I've just bought and downloaded cs6. It had to download a folder, containing the installer and the files needed to instal, onto my desktop, after it finished installing, i moved the Approx. 1.8 gb file to my documents, where it suddenly unpacked itself and froze any ability for me to move, delete, rename or change the files in any way. At most i cant create a shortcut of the files but not actually affect them, help is appreciated, thank you.

Are you getting stuck during the extraction process?  Do you receive any specifc error messages?  Have you tried ending the extraction task using the Task Manager?

Hi, thanks for the help. And its not so much that i need help extracting it, It is the installation package and this was done after installation was completed. It had existed as a folder on my desktop, but unsure of what to do with it after installing, i decided to move the entire folder over to my documents, but once in my documents the one folder turned into many and would not allow any modification. as you can see in the image ive attached, a file is selected, but no action can be taken upon it. and this is true for all the files.

Kevin_ir I am unsure exactly what you have downloaded.  I would recommend downloading the Photoshop CS6 installer from the trial page at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop.  You can then enter the serial number during the installation process.

You can adjust the file permissions for your documents folder by following the steps listed in Error "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" | Install log | Read, write, system file errors | CS5, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-exit-6-exit-7.html.
