wont let me install after effects cc trial

My creative cloud says i have After effects cc, but it is no where to be found on my computer. How can this be?

Hello josjostrom,

If you have installed the After Effects CC then it shall be on your machine.

I would suggest to check the uninstaller for After effects CC to assure that it is present on the machine or not, or is it CC desktop that it giving the false information.

Windows :- Check Add/remove program in Control panel

Mac :- Check Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers for the installers.

If you have the uninstaller, run them and remove After Effect CC and re-install

If you do not have the uninstaller then run the cleaner tool , http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html and then remove After Effect CC completly and then re-install.

After Effects is know where to be found on my computer. I go to the search bar and type in "After Effects CC and nothing comes up. But my Creative Cloud says its up to date. And i go to re-install it, and it comes up saying i already have it. Real mystery

What is your OS ?

Have you checked in Program files folder (Windows) and Applications folder (Mac) ?

How are you re-installing as CC says it is up-to date ?

Did you ran the unistaller for After effects as suggested in my previous post ?

I have a Mac yes. After effects CC is not in my applications folder. The unistaller folder is not even there... anywhere in my computer. When i go to install the trial for it on the website it brings me to my creative cloud and there it says " after effects is up to date (with a little green check mark)" It just wont let me do anything.

Run the cleaner tool (link shared in Post# 1 ) , remove After Effects CC and then check.
