Adobe photoshop 5.0 will not install

Hi i have my old version of Adobe photoshop 5.0 LE  "limited edition" but when i insert my cd my computer which is win 7 home premium, tell me my computer does not support this instalation and i do have 64 bit operating system.

i cant seem to follow any advice from related topics to this because my first step is to get the cd installed.

so please any one willing to help me please let me know :O)

It appears it is incompatible.  You will need to purchase a new version to run on your modern computer.  You can find details regarding Photoshop Elements 11 at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.html.  This will likely be a good choice for a replacement to Photoshop 5.0 LE.

ok thanks for a straight answer i knew i should of stuck with xp, i have ventured to win 7 and have nothing but updates and other companys asking for money for new versions all my software due to microsoft, i wish they advertise on tv that it would copst us actually more to buy a new laptop. not sure im going to bother with win 8.

yeah i downloaded elements 7 as a trial im still deciding between 3 others at the moment.
