Hi

I have uploaded a video to the Mastehead Background but there is no sound. If I uploaded the video elsewhere in portfolio it plays the sound. Is ths a limitation of the Masterhead Background settings?

Thanks

No. This has nothing to do with Portfolio or Masthead backgrounds.   It's a limitation imposed by your web devices.    Autoplay with audio is not supported because it's annoying and intrusive.  If video contains an audio track, it must be muted or it won't play on page load.  If you put video in the foreground with player controls, your audio track is supported because the site visitor initiated it.

Perhaps of interest (but for what Portfolio can do, see the links): https://www.doodlekit.com/blog/entry/37742/why-you-should-avoid-background-music-on-your-website

Thanks and I understand, especially not playing music and such like. Mine is slightly different in that it is a short sketch animation of a park environment changing with the seasons, prepared in Adobe Animation, and has a bit background bird and people sound effects to add to the ambience. Its not really something I want to put on as a video link, its more of a setting for the rest of teh site. I guess it will have to be a silent movie! Thanks to everyones comments.

Hi, Did you manage to find a solution for this issue? Could you find a way to have an auto play video with audio on your masthead?

Thanks
