application manager not responding 99% into install (Windows 8.1, 64bit, CS6 master collection)

Community Beginner ,

I have been trying to reinstall the master collection after preforming a clean install of windows, and the installer keeps crashing at 99% mostly, 2.2GB of data left to install, with "adobe application manager stopped responding" popping up.

I have used the adobe cleaner tool, used the  optical install media, and even downloaded the binary off the adobe site but the install crash's one way or the other. and when it did finish, this one time, it said that it failed to install flash, Photoshop and illustrator. and trying to launch any other application, it says Error:(213:5).

It said to restart and if the problem continues contact support. so, here I am.

Any idea why this is happening on a rig that it worked fine on before, on a newly refreshed windows install?

Thanks for your time and expertise on this matter.

OK. finally got it to install after nuking all things adobe on my computer and restarting with a diagnostic boot.

1. Go to programs and features and uninstall everything that has to do with adobe.
2. Go to your CS6 Installation Files folder and open the fonts folder and snap to the left of your screen (We will be using this as a reference)

3. Go to control panel and search font. open it and snap the window to the right.
4. Go through the installed system fonts and delete any fonts that you can see are installed with CS6 and were left behind after uninstalling. (This is the most tedious part. but take your time.)
5. Go to C:/users/(your account)/AppData
5a. If you can't see the AppData folder in your account folders, you need to make hidden folders visible.
5a.1. Open Control Panel
5a.2. Search "folder options" and open it.
5a.3. Click the view tab.
5a.4. Scroll down until you see the "Hidden files and folders" setting.
5a.5. Select "Show hidden files, folders and drives." and click "Apply"

6. Make sure you close all programs to avoid locked file issues.

7. Go into each folder (C:/users/(your account)/AppData/(Roaming, Local and LocalLow)) and delete the Adobe and Macromedia folders.
7a. Also go into the temp folders in the various AppData directories and delete the Adobe and Macromedia folders within them.
8. Go to C:/ProgramData and delete the Adobe and Macromedia folders from their as well. (permission problems? go to 8a.)
8a. You may run into permission problems with this one. Here is how to fix if you get a "Need system permission" error
8a.1. Right click the folder you wish to delete an click properties.
8a.2. Go to the security tab.

8a.3. Click the advanced button.

8a.4. Check that you are the owner, if not follow 8b.
8b.1. Click "Change".
8b.2. Type in your system username in the "enter the object name" box.
8b.3. Click the Check Names button and click "OK", Then "Apply" on the "Advanced security setting" window.
8a.5. Since your the owner, click "ok" to close the "advanced security setting" window.

8a.6. Now your back to the security tab for the desired folder, click the "Edit" button.

8a.7. Click on your username and tick all the box's to give your self full control of the folder. Click "Apply", "OK" and "OK" again to close properties.
8a.8. Try to delete again. (no success? go to 8c.)
8c. So your still getting permission problems? Before we continue, follow 8b again and this time in "edit", give "SYSTEM and ADMINISTRATOR" full control of the file as well.
8c.1. click start
8c.2. search CMD
8c.3. Hold down Ctrl and Shift and double click Command Prompt
8c.4. Make sure CMD is mounted in the system32 folder rather then your user folder.
8c.5. Type without brackets (rmdir /s "C:\ProgramData\Adobe")
8c.6. Hit Enter.
9. Download and run the adobe cleaner tool for a final mop up. (select option "1 ALL" in the program to clear everything Adobe).
10. Use CCleaner to run a temp file cleanup.
11. Use CCleaner to mop up the windows registry. (You may want to run the scan 3 or 4 times to get it all. Adobe leaves a big mess in there, *tuts at Adobe... -_-*

12. Go to control panel and search administrative tools and click on it.
13. Open System Configuration, Click the general tab, and select "Diagnostic Startup".
14. Go to the boot tab and tick the basic video setting.
15. Go to the startup tab and disable all startup programs (windows 8 users should do this within task manager.)
(Optional). Go to services and enable the "Print Spooler" service, (For Acrobat X pro installation.)

16. Click apply and restart.

17. Set your resalution back to normal.
18. Install CS6 as a trial.
19. Go back to step 12 and return settings back to normal.
20. Reboot and register your installation.

Its a bit long winded but if you have this problem then these steps fixed it for me.
