I'm trying to reinstall Acrobat X Pro but have lost my discs.  I have an installed version on another computer.

Can I find the serial number on the installed copy?

If it's a Windows machine then try running Belarc Advisor

If not, or as an alternative, see:

I have no experience with it myself but have not heard anything unsafe about it.  It is commonly suggested in these forums.

If you mean Belarc then yes, it's fine. I use it myself occassionally.

It'll generate a report on all the software inside your machine and the full serial numbers associated with each software title.

Once you've got them all, keep them safe for future reference.
