Adobe's updater continues to be broken.
I was receiving the Error 183 on Adobe CC, and as we're setting up for SSO, I wanted gto get it fixed before I need to make documentation.
I uninstalled all Adobe products using thier uninstallers. I uninstalled the CC app using its uninstaller. I then ran the Adobe cleantool. I then went into both the user library and the system library, and deleted the Adobe folders from the "Application Support" folders. As well as doing a search for any Adobe related .plist files and removing those.
After all that, I went to reinstall the CC app, and it fully installed (with a brand new, downloaded DMG of the installer). I then went and began installing the necessary Adobe apps I use (Acrobat DC, Photoshop, InDesign). And when all was done, what happens?
I get another Error 183 on CC stating it can't update.
So, WTF is going on with this app? Why can it not update? What is wrong with the mac version of the software that prevents it from properly updating? Why have you not fixed this after this ocurring for MONTHS, if not YEARS.
And do not try and re-direct me to my CC Admin as I'm on on an Enterprise account, BECAUSE I AM OUR CC ADMIN.
I and MANY OTHERS need a fix on this, as my boss won't like a bunch of screenshots that say that the CC App is having constant Errors. It does not instill confidence in IT, nor in the Adobe products, with our users.
This is unacceptable that you have ignored this issue for this long. Fix it permanently, or give us a 100% working fix that I can implement.
Have something to add?
