No WIA support when I try to download a card...Help!

I'm no whiz at computer jargon...just need help, before my brain goes...fssst!

when I put sandisk in slot, open up to download and then WIA .. but no WIA support comes on,

found the pics do load, but in some dumb pic file!!   so then have to load one by one.  Help please!!!

I know SanDisk is a USB thumbdrive.  But after that, you've completely lost me...
