Just like every recent year, I buy the upgrade version of Elements.
The purchase is recorded correctly as expected in my account, with the download link and the license number.
The download is for:
PhotoshopElements_2021_LS30_win64.exe
[downloader file name edited... Sorry]
However, that installer re-installs 2020 !!!
I have checked and tried again several times, no way to install version 2021.
It seems I can't use the 'chat' option to get help until Monday?
Additional info:
The re-install also install an update I was not aware of :
18.0(20200120.m.139560)x64
and ACR pluging 11.3.0.197
(which has replaced the 11.4 version I had manually installed!)
I am using the installer in French, but as usual, I choose to install the English version.
As expected, the reinstall of 2020 did not require signing in.
I have been able to download another installer,
PhotoshopElements_2021_LS30_win64_ESD.zip
All seems well now.
Thanks again.

Many thanks, kglad,
but I don't think that is the issue. I do have the correct specs, OS (1909) etc. By the way I can even use Photoshop, LRC and Bridge (updated this morning).

be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human

Hi Dean,
If you're still using your 2009 iMac, that computer can only run macOS Sierra 10.12 (or earlier).
Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 requires at least macOS High Sierra 10.13 as listed here:

My mac runs on OS High Sierra 10.13.6. This is the max OS upgrade for this mac. Funny thing is they deleted all the old purchased softwares in my adobe account.

I've got an early 2009 iMac and that only goes up to Snow Leopard. The late 2009 iMac officially only goes up to Sierra. Have you used an unofficial patch to install High Sierra?
Re. your previous purchases:
- Are you sure you're using the same Adobe ID as the one you registered your older software with?
- You've mentioned previously that you were running Adobe Creative Suite 3. Was this the non-authentication version that was made available for a limited time when the CS3 activation servers were shut down?

My iMac is 27 inch, late 2009 version (maybe what you read is the 24 inch imac 2009, that is a step down.) OS high sierra was officially download from Apple store. I don't have problem with Creative suite. Let's focus on one thing photoshop element 2020. I uninstalled and reinstalled last night from the copy in my download folder.

Sorry Dean, my bad... I misread the table for the late 2009 models on Wikipedia 🙂
Try downloading a fresh copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 from here:
Download Adobe Photoshop Elements | 2021, 2020
Then follow the relevant installation instructions here:
Download and install Photoshop Elements
Don't forget to sign in with your Adobe ID as part of the installation process, and you'll need to have your serial number to hand when you get to the activation stage.
