Dreamweaver 21.3, build 15593
macOS 12.6
iMac (2017) Retina 5k
Git is set up and functioning normally with Dreamweaver. After a commit/push, a box
is instantiated that reports the results of the git operation. The title of the box is "Git Response". At times this box is not frontmost in the application, in which case the application appears to be unresponsive for no reason.
The box has no controls that allow it to be closed: no macOS decoration ("red/yellow/green buttons"). The Window menu has as the last option the text "(No open documents)" and may of the other actions are grayed out, as this appears to be a modal dialog. There is an "OK" button in the box, when clicked the box remains but content is cleared (the headings remain):
The main window remains but while some UI elements are operational (such as drag-scrolling), text cannot be selected, no other menu options that operate on the content will work, and right-click actions are disabled.
As there is no way to close the box, and the dialog has already been cleared, the application cannot quit normally, requiring a force-quit operations.
This issue has existed through a number of updates for more than six months. This problem can be reproduced at will, it occurs after every push; using this git functionality always requires Dreamweaver to be force-quit as the application is unusable at this point.
