What's with extensions downloaded from the official Adobe Add-ons Site now? I downloaded the zxp of an extension I had purchased on the add-on site but it won't install with a third party extension manager. Is Adobe packing these extensions differently now or adding some kind of layer of protection? I was going to install the extension manually but don't seem able to unpack the zxp like you normally can. The one and only reason I bought from the Adobe add-ons site is because the extenion developer was not selling the extension direct for some reason .
Refer to the Extension Developer's web site and contact them directly. It's possible they have not updated their extension for CC 2017 yet.

Hello,
I fear you have to use "a third party extension manager". I for my part - in all these cases you describe - I'm not a friend of a detailed troubleshooting and so had no trouble to use
https://www.dmxzone.com/go/22670/dmxzone-extension-manager-for-dreamweaver/
or
http://projectseven.com/ >>> navigation >>> Extension Manager
Everything has worked without a problem.

Which extension is it? Are you able to contact to extension developer?
I know DMX Zone is very good about answering questions and providing solutions when needed.

One is the disabled server server behaviours panel - no problem I downloaded it from DMXZone instead and installed that way
The other is the additional Bootstrap Components extension by Linecraft, neither the P7 or DMXZone extension manager will install it.
Adobe are definitely doing something different with the zxp fies on the their official add-ons site. you are not able to extract them anymore - at least not a way I have discovered.

Its not a problem with the developers extension and its not a problem relating to DW 2017 specifically either ... I have 99% extensions bought direct from the extension developers and never had an issue, as a last resort if any problems installing I could always unpack the extension and install it manually (copy files to config folder and edit the insert and menu xml files as required). It doesn't seem possible to unpack the extensions downloaded from the Adobe add-ons site and the server behaviors panel is the same (from Adobe).
