I am just finishing up a couple of sites where the clients had many-many changes of mind and thus I have a lot of images and css styles that are not being used. Is there a way Dreamweaver can at least identify those unused images and/or styles so I can clean things up before launch?

This was a very helpful post. Another way to clean even deeper once that is performed is to clean all images EXIF data. On average I've noticed 17kb per image, (usually JPGs) is removed without sacrificing any quality.
