All of DWs server behaviors were in need of a complete re-write a few years back. Rather than doing it themselves, Adobe opted to let third party extension makers take over and removed the old ones from the program several versions ago.
Don't use the old deprecated behaviors, they won't work on a server running php 7+.

Hi,
Thanks for reporting the issue, we have fixed most of the issues in the Server Behavior Extension and will soon be posting out a build on the Prerelease forum for you guys to try.

Hi Niharika,
could you explain with more details about "fixed most of the issues in the server behaviour extension"?
Will have the next version of Dreamweaver again support to work with dynamic behaviors (with the PHP7+ update) or is it just an upgrade to avoid crashes for those who still use the deprecated extension with the last versions 17/18?
Thanks.

Hi,
The request to support PHP7 , PDO and MYSQLi has been added to our backlog. For now we have fixed all crashes and critical functionality issues that had made the extension unusable.

Ok, but I don't really understand why continue to support an extension that generates outdated code with obvious security issues on the websites where it runs.
Adobe is not a small company, and I think you can engage to propose updated solutions to your customers (yearly CC subscription is not so cheap). PHP7, PDO and MYSQLi should be a priority.
I've downgraded to CC 2015 for the "Apply source formatting" bugs on the PHP pages (see my post on prerelease forum... a bug reported by David Powers on Oct 6 2016... more than 15 months ago) but the whole Adobe DW team is committed to creating support for Bootstrap 4 (when DMXzone already offers from several months a free extension for this framework).
I don't really understand how Adobe plans the future of this glorious software.

Neither do they. They are so far out of touch now with what's happening its quite frankly become a circus act.

I use a commercial MySQLi extension from WebAssist that piggy backs on the old deprecated server behaviors panels. However I do not use the old panels to generate my code. The old code is outdated and will never be updated by Adobe.
Presently, there a 2 commercial extension developers you can go to. WebAssist and DMX Zone.
