Anyone know the CS6 release date? I have to upgrade Dreamweaver and I'm hoping Adobe augments its "timeline" animation utility.

Because the cloud is an extra component layered together with the traditional applications, there's more involved there and it wasn't ready at the same time.
I acknowledge that there may be more engineering work involved in bringing the Cloud to market but they could have easily set the shipping date to take that into account.
It seems odd to me that Adobe marketing is taking the focus off perpetual licenses and pushing the Cloud as hard as possible.
Then they make the perpetual products available first when so many people are hungry for the Cloud.

Oh yeah I know, prolly cos bringing the cloud out will make a lot more in the end. Can't wait for it to launch, it seems like an all round good deal to me.

I think the cloud is great, it's going to make small business a lot more scalable. Keeping the cost down to $79(?) to add another machine for a month makes for really easy addition of employees to cover workload. And $50 for another station as you ramp up and commit for longer is great. I'd like to see the non yearly cost be the same to just remove that extra layer of friction in decision making.
I also think that adobe should, in the future, add a perpetual license lock option. So that as you are using your apps you have a way to impulse buy a perpetual license for a given product. It would especially be cool if that we at a decreasing cost. So that if you did it in the first month of your subscripton it would be more expensive, as you went on it would get less expense. When it hit your sweet spot or thought that you wanted to cancel because you were worried about revenue streams. You could pay extra to version lock your favorites that you really need and then come back and resume your subscription later to get your updates. They could probably figure out a pricing matrix where this would totally be in there favor and certain companies were just paying for version lock and never cancelling subscriptions.
Its all about reducing friction to increase transactions and increase overall revenue.

I haven't been successful at locating from where I can download Dreamweaver CS-6 at Adobe.com today (the rumored release day). Any advice? If today's not the day, might anyone know when the release day will be, please?
In Adobe-speak, product launch means announcement only, Adobe showcases the new features and start the marketing blitz.
Nothing to purchase, download or trial yet. Pre-ordering only.
