I'm currently running Dreamweaver 2020 on my microsoft surface laptop 3 and it is so slow it is basically unusable. I have tried the following:

- deleting the temp files folder.

- running in standard mode not developer.

- running in Design mode not live.

- disabling code hints.

- disabling site cache.

- disabling linting.

My laptop specs are:

Processor: AMD ryzen 3550U 2.10 GHz

Ram: 16GB

Windows 10

Is there anything left to do other than un installing this app and using another text editor?

thanks

Hi Stephen,

hope I understood your question in the right way, and so I show you the answer of Adobe from a former thread:

We are investigating this issue at our end, meanwhile as a workaround can you perform below steps and see if the issue is resolved.

close DW
Go to Registry key press win +R -> type regedit
go to \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Dreamweaver 2020\tTemp File List\
delete theTemp File List folder and restart Dreamweaver (before deleting the folder first take backup of the folder, right click on it and select export)

Thanks

Yes, this is a known issue.

  1. Submit a bug report from your Help menu.
  2. Revert to a previous version of DW.  Version 20.1 is stable on my Win10 workstation.
  3. Turn off automatic app updates from your Creative Cloud desktop app.
