Where are the new server behaviors for PHP/MySQL in the new CC 2014 edition?

As far as I know there are no NEW server behaviours UNLESS it's part of the update. It's a well kept secret if it is.

Server behaviors were deprecated in the previous year's release. See http://blogs.adobe.com/dreamweaver/2013/06/a-look-at-the-modernized-dreamweaver-cc.html
Sorry for the brevity. We had a big release and I am trying to do my best in getting to all the posts.
Thanks,
Preran

YOu can get the panel back by downloading a free extension - however there is no way to actually install the extension as there is no extension manager for the new version and the Addons page simply doesn't work.

The Add Ons page will be live in some time from now. I don't have a date and time yet. Will get back as soon as I hear something on this one.
Thanks,

But Preran,
That still doesn't help us install extensions we already own. There is no extension manager for DW CC 2014

Preran,
Please stop telling me to try things from the add ons page. The problem is that there is no way to install .zxp files that I already own as there is no extension manager.

Hi Brad & IronADDT,
Server behavior Extension is available to beinstalled from the AddOns page, Can you please try the following steps:

2. Launch Dreamweaver.
3. Goto Windows>>Browse AddOns.
4. Search for Server behavior in the AddOns page.

Hi Mudit,
That does not help me at all. It is extensions that I already own and have paid for that are the issue.
I can't see why it is so hard to understand the problem?
1: I have x number of .zxp files that I have purchased
2: There is no extension manager or other way to install them.
That's it ... simple.

Ok, great Adobe!!!
Before discontinued Server Behaviors and now old extensions not more available... but are you sure that all dreamweaver users are using wordpress for their works?
When Macromedia lunched a new version, always new improvement not downgrading.
I think it's time for Adobe to rename the tool... from "Dreamweaver" to "Muse CSS Editor" (or Muse WordPress Editor).

Hi,
Try quitting the Creative Cloud desktop app and relaunching. The Extension Manager CC update (7.2) should hopefully show up. Extension manager CC 7.2 has the support for installing extensions for Dreamweaver CC 2014.
Thanks

Hello IronADDT,
At DMXzone we've already released (in Sept 2013) a full set of extension for connecting to your database(s) and managing your database content. A great replacement of the old server behaviors technology to create new dynamic web apps built the Ajax way!
The Database Connector as well as the Database Updater feature a great Database Connection Wizard, fully visual Query Builder to make your work a breeze.
They are available for PHP and ASP
You can check the Database Connectivity Collections and learn more about the features of the extensions on our website:
For PHP: http://www.dmxzone.com/go/22151/dynamic-database-connectivity-collection-php
For ASP: http://www.dmxzone.com/go/22152/dynamic-database-connectivity-collection-asp

And as a user of those extensions that Teodor mentions .... they rock!

Hello Tedor,
I know about your extensions but I prefer the old technique... I don't like "ajax way", source code with full of incomprehensible code.
For example, {{gallery.Gallery}}, {{Info.image}}, etc.
I like to see the page with all real values... more usable and more easy to debug.
Interakt it was the best company before that Adobe destroyed it.
Now, our last hope remains WebAssist but its development time are very slow.

Hi All,
Just to reiterate we do have Extension Manager CC standalone to install extensions for Dreamweaver CC 2014, that update is already available via Creative Cloud Application, please update Extension Manager if you need to support CC 2014 release products.
For Server Behavior just wanted to let you guys know that we have it available on the AddOns page from where you can install it for Dw CC 2014 also.Do use the AddOns workflow and let us know about the user experience to help make it better and easier. In case if you are looking for how to install the Server behavior from AddOns page, please follow below mentioned steps :
1. Download/Install the latest Adobe Creative Cloud Application from creative.adobe.com and make sure to turn on File Sync.
2. Launch Dreamweaver.
3. Goto Windows>>Browse AddOns.
4. Search for Server behavior in the AddOns page.
5. Now quit Dreamweaver.
6. After quitting Dreamweaver Click the install Button against the Extension in the AddOns page.
7. Wait for some time for a notification to be displayed in the Creative Cloud Application. After successful installation of the extension you should receive a notification the Creative Cloud app saying "You installed the AddOn Server Behavior & Database"
Let us know if that does not work for you.
Thanks

Hi Mudit... I've installed your AddOns Server Behavior and it's ok.
Only little problem, when I restart my mac, every time your Creative Cloud Application send me the message "You installed the AddOn Server Behavior & Database"... is possibile stop this repeat message (view messages only first time that I install AddOns)? Sometimes I use my mac on meeting/breafing with others people and I don't like to see this messages in the external screen.
Last question... AddOns Server Behavior is updated with latest technology?
I don't like Dmxzone's extensions with "spry ajax way"... it's the wrong way to work with database (webpages with incomprehensible code... {{gallery.Gallery}}, {{Info.image}}, etc.) and I'd like to use the traditional technique of development.

Hi Michele,
Thanks for connecting with us. I'll escalate the issue of notification popping up on every restart to the relevant team.
Active development in Server Behavior features were stopped after CS6, so we ported the feature as an Extension for users while halting any development pertaining to new technologies etc. We would look into it only if the extension is not usable at all i.e. all the functionalitiy is blocked. So whatever is there in Extension is same as Dreamweaver had in CS6, we haven't done any new development on the extension.
Thanks
Mudit

Hello Michele,
I cannot agree your statement: "it's the wrong way to work with database" - i agree you may not like it but you cannot just that easily judge what is wrong in the web development. Your statement includes not only the HTML5 Data Bindings extension but also client side templating engines like Handlebars.js or js frameworks like AngularJS and maybe Twitter, LinkedIn, Google, Facebook etc.. also are working wrong with their databases?
Not only it is not wrong, but from a code point of view it is times better to use the client-side templating to separate the server code from the front-end. It is easier to maintain code and layout that looks like:
<div class="article" data-binding-repeat="articles.data" data-binding-id="repeat1">
<h1>{{article.title}}</h1>
<p>{{article.content}}</p>
<img data-bidnings-src="{{article.img}}" alt="{{article.alttext}}"/>
</div>
Instead of looking between the <?php tags mixed with the front-end code and checking what exactly you did wrong. It is also faster to render client-side than waiting for the server and refresh the page on each change.
Anyway, thank you for the feedback and it is your right to continue using technologies you've been using for the past ten years if you feel comfortable with them

Hi Teodor,
before any misunderstanding, I'm an happy old DMXzone customer (from 2001) with "Years Subscription" active... it's just that I prefer to see a webpage in a browser with source code clear, without <h1>{{article.title}}</h1> <p>{{article.content}}</p> but with real value from database <h1>Lorem ipsum...</h1> <p>Sed euismod, justo at faucibus condimentum...</p>.
It's only my opinion... I'm Italian and we are used to creativity and old tradition... and we don't care what some yankee is doing (Facebook, Linkedin, etc.).
WebAssist (yankee company, but perfection doesn't exist ) not use "ajax way" and I prefer their extensions for dynamic content... instead for other extensions DmxZone is the best!
Regards,
Michele

Hello Michele,
As of the client side processing of data there is a huge advantage, especially if you are using a Cloud Service for a web server and you pay for processor time. And it doesn't really stops one from creating a masterpiece ...

Miro.

Each version of Dreamweaver is worse and worse, when will Adobe team realize that WordPress sucks i will never develop something for WordPress i prefer my own 100% hand made CMS, what i see is that the developers of adobe which now are offshore don't want to have competition for their people and forcing us the customer who we pay the monthly rent use a software every update more useless, i suggest adobe team listen to us the costumers ask us what features we need instead of forcing us to something most don't use.
