Dreamweaver highlight not higlighting the correct file

I am running Dreamweaver on Windows 7 and have just upgraded to CC 2017.  I have imported my site that includes some dot sh (.sh), .bak, .tmp, .sql files that I am using during the development stage.  When you load Dreamweaver and attempt highlight  the file you want to edit and double click it says there isn't 'a valid editor for this file extension.'.  This is because when I click on where I think the file is it is actually choosing a file further up the tree and attempting to open this file where there isn't an editor assigned.
In trying to solve this I though (as it was a php file I am trying to edit) that php wasn't correctly assigned and so I went to edit > preferences.  This screen spread over the three screens I am using (in a two on top and one on the bottom format) with none of the screens containing any of the text in the preferences pop up.  A significant amount of scrolling was required to get to the correct location.

I removed the 2 + 1 config and just used my laptop and the preferences problem was a little better however not right, I still had to scroll but did get some text.  The click location problem still exists.

Adobe,  I am paying per month, I don't want to pay for a product that doesn't work and as per the Australian Goods and Services Act I am entitled to a refund.  The product is not working, how do I get a refund?

Thanks

Keith Elshout

Try changing your Display Scaling to 100% by moving the slider all the way to the left (recommended).
