Dreamweaver only FTPs once per session

Each time I open Dreamweaver, I can only put files once. It works fine that first time but any subsequent attempts just hang until I cancel, close Dreamweaver, reopen it, and continue working. Yes, I could use FileZilla but one of the reasons DW is my favorite editor is what used to be the supremely perfect Files panel and FTP. It's been doing this for the last 2-3 versions for me. The creds are fine -- it works perfectly that first time every time.

What do your FTP Logs say is happening?

Did you try disconnecting from your remote server, wait a few seconds then reconnect?  See screenshot.
