If it is saying user limit is reached in the error, it's possible that by logging in at another time was all it took for filezilla to get in because even one user logging off in that time would have freed up the access for you. For this type of error you should contact your host to see if they are able to raise the limit to allow more simultaneous users to your account.

Keep using FileZilla.

Besides being a better S/FTP client, FileZilla is regularly updated with the latest security patches. Dreamweaver is not updated because it's in minimal maintenance status.

With Dreamweaver in minimal support it is only receiving major fixes. An example of a recent one the other year with Mac OS, an update caused a right click to crash the application.

Even in full maintenance, if you are receiving an error stating that the user limit has been reached, that error is a server side response and not something generated by DW. As an example, what this means is that your host has a limit of 100 simultaneous users being connected to the server. If you are user 101 that tries to connect you will receive the error. If a user signs off and it drops down to 99, then you are able to connect. This is a common error in shared hosting solutions as all users are pulling from the same resources. If DW is struggling to connect and your other solutions are not, then your best bet is to continue to use those other solutions as the likihood of the FTP server being updated unless it is causing a serious issue is very low.

I use many other products alongside Dreamweaver because it can't keep pace with rapidly changing technologies.

It is what it is...

Thank you all for your answers!

However, the problem persists and I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel.

It used to work and now it doesn't!

In Windows cmd, FTP works, Filezilla works, but it doesn't work in Dreamweaver. In fact, it stopped working from one moment to the next and Abode has to answer for that.
After all, what am I paying for?

Does anyone know how to make an official request to Adobe to solve the problem?

Everything here is very dark and hidden and they are not transparent in solving the real problems of the client/user.

Thank you!

Dreamweaver has not changed since you installed it.

It's in zero maintenance status.

If anything changed, it occurred on your end -- an update to your operating system, interference from another application, a critical file became corrupted, etc...

The Nuclear Option:

1. Use the Adobe Cleaner tool to wipe old CC apps from your system.

https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

2. Restart your computer.

3. Download & install the latest Creative Cloud Desktop App 6.4, followed by Dreamweaver 21.4.

Good luck.
