I need to install Dreamweaver 4 on a new PC after my old one died. Can anybody help?

Dreamweaver 4 is over 20 years old and unfortunately will not run on any modern PC that I am aware of unless you run virtualization software and run an older OS (Win ME/2000/XP or Mac OS 9/X (10.0)).

DW4 has workd fine for many years on win10 machines until Adobe decided it should not. My Dreamweaver Ultra4 has worked GREAT until a few days ago. Not on cloud, refuse to do so.

Adobe hasn't DONE anything to DW 4 in more than decade. 🙄
It's End of Life.

Note - Do Not be connected to the internet when you do install. Not sure if latest win10 update older codes.

Do you really mean DW4 released in 2000. Or do you mean Creative Suite 4 from 2008?
Either way, compatibility with a new computer is unlikely if not impossible.
Besides, discontinued & outdated web authoring software is no value to anyone in 2021. The web has changed too much. Best advice is to get modern software that's compatible with your new computer.

Thanks to everyone that gave help. I have found a free product called Kompozer that does what I need.

I will not say that you are a glutton for punishment, but are you sure that you do not want to fall into the same trap as with an ancient version of Dreamweaver?

Thanks for your concern. We are nearing retirement so just need something to last us a few more years!

Ben's point was one of concern. If the program crashes, exhibits odd behavior, or causes system issues, it is unsupported and was last updated in 2006 ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozilla_Composer ). Also the code it generates will not necessarily work with modern browsers, and it will likely not recognize some code as the standards have changed over that time. For a free solution Nancy provided some very valid solutions which will help. If you are looking for more of a drag and drop or non-code solution you may be better suited using a template CMS like Wordpress that someone can setup for you, or looking to hosted solutions like Wix/SquareSpace/etc.

The web is complicated. DIY amateurs rarely succeed without help from experienced web professionals.
Good luck!
