problems on retracting data from mysql

May i know what part is wrong? since the data from "Menu" cannot retracted from the database

How are you extracting data from the MySQL table fields?  Please show us your SQL query.

this is how i connect to my sql datatbase
but no "connection error" show and i assume no error on connecting my database

I can see nothing wrong with your sqli query or php code. As long as you have assigned the database connection function to the variable $connect then you should be getting some results returned.

I can't even see menu_type or menu_category in your header.php file code, assuming that is what you originally posted?
