Template Issues on Various Pages

New Here ,
Jan 29, 2022 Jan 29, 2022

I am having template problems with Dreamweaver CS3. The issue can be seen at the following link. It works perfectly on main thumbnail page, but click through pages have the strange issue. Is there an easy way to fix it? They both use the same template.

both pages don't seams to be issued by the same Templates...

the first one related to

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><!-- InstanceBegin template="/gallery_pages.dwt" codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" -->

the second one to

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><!-- InstanceBegin template="/Templates/index.dwt" codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" -->

 could you try to reapply the right template to the second page first

1 - select the page in display view

2 - open the assets panel

3 - select the temmplate icone (left bar icon, two before ending)

4 - selected the appropriate template DWT in there

5 - drag and drop it over the display document

6 - fill up the question what content go to which area

7 - save and test

Thank you. Is there a way to apply to multiple pages? I have over 50 to fix.

unfortunaly as far as I know it has to be done manually, one by one... that is a request that was made under macromedia time and was never listened

but does it solve your issue ?

CS3 is discontinued & unsupported software from 2007!  Nobody should use 15 year old web authoring apps in 2022.  The web has changed too much.

I urge you to switch to modern software and get up to speed on modern coding practices.

Read chapters, do code exercises and take quizzes at the end.

I don't think the problem is related to the age of the DW version but to an error in using the template.

Don't you think that staying focused on the issue itself  will probably resolve the issue... using what ever code editors won't solve the problem... I think that is an aside debate

hope that help too

I made my views clear in December when I said this.  And I'm sticking to it.

I have gotten out of web design and do this to help someone out. Otherwise, I would invest in newer software. Thank you for the response.

Probably the most sensible post I've seen in quite a while.
