I am using Dreamweaver CS6 and I use Yahoo Servers (Aabaco) and can no longer connect to the servers with Dreamweaver's FTP to update my website. They now require an FTPS and TLS 1.2 connection. From what I read on the forums CS6 will not be updated to make the TLS 1.2 connection. My question is does Dreamweaver CC support TLS 1.2?
We verified LightCMS and Yahoo (Aabaco) server connection with Dreamweaver 2017. we are able to connect those servers with Dreamweaver 2017. Please use the below server settings in Dreamweaver while connecting Dreamweaver 2017 to
1. LightCMS server:
connect using: FTP over SSL/TLS(implicit encryption)
Authentication: None or Trusted Server
Select “use Passive FTP” and “encrypt only command channel” options
2. Yahoo (Aabaco) server
Connect using: FTP Over SSL/TLS(explicit encryption)
Authentication: N

I am checking with the product team. Will get back as soon as I have an answer.
Just to be sure, no further updates are expected for DW CS6.
Thanks,
Preran

Is your system is inside the firewall security ? if so, that may be blocking you to connect.

Thank you for your reply - Dreamweaver is a designated exception to the
firewall (program has access).

Have you been able to make an FTP connection using a different client? I believe many people here use Filezilla. I use the client in Zend Studio, which provides more options and a lot more connection information than what Dreamweaver provides.
If you can connect with a different client, then you know your credentials are working and you can return to trying to get DW to work.
The DW FTP utility has always been "FTP Lite."

I believe all my settings are correct as described here.
The error messages I receive are inconsistent.
When I hit the Test button in my server settings I get this message:
When I attempt to put files I get this:
That last detail about the auth level makes no sense as it is set to None.

Nancy OShea Yes, actually I was able to connect with FileZilla AND Dreamweaver. The trick was to create a user account in the Aabaco/Yahoo Password Manager and use those login credentials.
