I'm used to esc, c, c and esc, j, j for swiftly reapplying character and paragraph styles … dare I hope that there is a similar shortcut for reapplying the last object style? or, indeed, some new way of achieving the same result :-}
Mind you, I'm not immediately sanguine about the chances of a simple keyboard shortcut when I see that Alt+G, o is now assigned to three commands in the Graphics menu.
