Saving document to rtf leaves a list of  fonts at the beginning of each chapter. Is there a way to stop this?

Hi @rayc50748205:

I've never seen that. What version of FrameMaker are you using and what application are you using to open the exported .rtf file? I normally open my .rtfs in Word, but I just tried Notes (a basic Mac app) and it understood the formatting as well. No list of fonts.

Hi Barb
I'm using Framemaker v12 and open the file in Open Office 4.16 or word pad.
I'm also on Windows.

Hi @rayc50748205 :

I just opened an .rtf exported today from FrameMaker 16 (2020) on WordPad running on Windows 10 and it also opened as expected. No font lists, just like in Word. I can't speak to OpenOffice as I've never used it, but you might try download the free Fm 16 trial to see if that solves the problem. I can't test with Fm 12 because I don't have it installed anymore.

If that isn't an option, can you just delete the list of fonts?

Hi Barb

I will send one of the files to a friend who uses Word to see if that
solves the problem.

Deleting the fonts list gets me around the problem but the books I produce
are very large with up to sixty chapters in each so it's time consuming.

Thanks for your time and effort, I will let you know the outcome.

Best wishes
Ray
