Hello. Is anyone having issues creating a pdf file using Technical Suite? I've recently upgraded from FM9 to the suite and everytime I try to pdf a file or book - Frame crashes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi,

Could  you pelase add some more information, as it is difficult to predict solution with little info.

--> Anyways, I will give it a shot with a few assumptions, as you said you upgarded to FM9, does you book/Doc created in previous FM release is crashing??

Can you create a Dummy Doc in FM9 and try creating PDF.

--> Can you open you existing Book in Fm9 and then select all documents and open them indiviadually, with Fm, this way Fm upgardes each document to the current release.

then save the book and cos, and the proceed with generating PDF.

    Thanks,

Hello. I upgraded from FM9 to the Adobe Technical Suite which includes FM10 - so I upgraded to FM10. I can now not pdf a book or a file. I get an error message that Frame has detected a serious problem and has to shut down. At one point I did have trouble creating a pdf from FM9 and I got a patch fix from Adobe. Have not had the problem again until I upgraded to Technical Suite recently. I pulled up a FM9 file and tried to pdf and just got the same error. I did de-install and re-install just the Adobe Acrobat program last week and on that same day was able to pdf, but just tried to pdf and it crashed.

    Hi,

I believe you tried the following patch --

    http://blogs.adobe.com/techcomm/2008/07/hotfix_for_framemaker_1.html

--You did not share whether creating a PDF with a New Test Document created within FrameMaker 10 worked?

-- Can you Launch your book and open each document (from the book, by double clicking) individually and see if that works?

-- Try File -- Print -- Select print driver as Adobe PDF, and check if you are able create your PDF?

-- Can you also verify have you updated the patches 10.0.2!
