Dead links in PDF output, OK in FrameMaker

Can someone give a solution as to why some cross reference links in my PDFs are dead and most other work. If I do a Ctrl/Alt and click on the cross reference in my FrameMaker source file, they navigate me to the correct location in the document. I have deleted the cross references and reinserted them, but this did not work.

Help!, thanks!

Thanks to you all! I just had my coworker enable this setting and it worked for him. Art, I will pass your tip on to my group for future reference. I would consider this case closed. Have a good week!

Are all the links to files within the same book, or are the dead ones to external files? A mix of dead links can be a common problem if some links point to external files and those files are not open in FM when the PDF is generated from FM... the links can't be resolved.

My coworker is using the new Tech Comm Suite (which includes the new Frame version 8.0) and I will ask if he has this setting enabled. However, why would some links work and not others within the same PDF? If he did not have this setting enabled, wouldn't all link be dead? Your thoughts or anyone else have thoughts?

No, not all links will be dead. FM does automatically create some
named destinations, but this setting ensures that all of them get
    created.

Which version of FM? Did you enable the "Create Named Destinations for
all Elements and Paragraphs" in the PDF setup options?
