Question

EDD to DTD

Developer manual says (FM9, page 39):
"6. Save the new read/write rules file into the same folder as the other application components."

Save as ... .xml? .txt? .fm? Into which folder?

I've saved it to every folder I believe is applicable, yet everytime I try to save my EDD as a DTP I get the message that the new read/write rule file does not exist.

You can save Read/Write Rules as a .fm document or as a text file.

When saving your EDD as a DTD the product asks for a structured application and in the definition of the structured application (in structapps.fm) you have to specify the path to the read/write document. If you used backslashes to do this, either double them or use forward slashes, because FrameMaker treats some combinations of backslash + character as a special character.

BTW, don't forget to delete all extra R/W files.
