FM10 freezing when near graphics

Since upgrading to FM 10, documents that have graphics in them (embedded or linked) tend to freeze when I edit text that is close to the graphic. Anyone else having this problem?

Is it really freezing, or just getting glacially slow?

How long have you waited before terminating the process?

I don't have FM10, but historically, things that would cause glacial response are:

really large images (very high res rasters in particular) - setting View > Options > View Options: Display: [_] Graphics (off, might confirm)
rotated images (even slightly off 0 degrees)
[speculation] cropped images with Run-Around ON, where hidden image is under the text. Try turning Run-Around OFF on the graphical object (it's usually on by default).

Since the problem is likely something else:

What platform? Windows version, 32 or 64-bit.

All MS font patches installed?

What graphics subsystem (video card, driver, version)?
