FM2020 Delete\Backspacing Text is Very Slow

FM2020 Delete function is very slow. 

Things I've tried... uninstalled - reinstalled, and cleared Auto-Spell Check in Preferences. I read something about images, but I don't have a problem w the same files (project and images) when I open the same project files in FM2017. Both versions are available to me, but installed in separate locations until we can fully migrate to FM2020. Appears to be a recent issue w FM2020. The lags are unproductive, almost unusable. I have a large project that requires significant edits, and at the snail pace of FM2020 is doesn't make sense to use this specific version. Any ideas to fix?

2. What is the primary language you are using in your documents or are you using multiple languages in your document?

Try switching to the Blank workspace and reset it. It may be one of the open pods slowing thing down. This may help you narrow down which open pod is slowing things down.

Thank you. Blank space didn't work. Our IT dept is looking into it. It is odd, 2017 is in a VM environment and it works fine. The 2020 version is installed locally on my laptop. Delete works fine when I share my screen using a certain share desktop link and the video graphics for screen share are downgraded. However,  the Delete function lag is visible when we remote via Teams share desktop mode. Essentially, click delete several times over and wait a few seconds for delete to initiate. We're looking into moving 2020 into a VM environment just to see if that fixes the issue.
