This issue is sporadic and sometimes I find that printing one page does the trick, but will not help as I have more than just 1 page to print at a time. I currently am on Windows 10 and did not have this issue on Windows 7. I also keep getting PostScript errors

What version of FM? Do you have the full version of Acrobat installed? Are you having issues printing to the AdobePDF printer instance?

And what happens if you choose File > Save as PDF?

%%[Page: 1]%%

Also note that it is failing on page 1. Can you try with pages 2-end to see if there is an actual issue with page 1?

FM 2019. I only have Adobe Acrobat DC.

The syntec error appears to come on files with “links” selected in the PDF Setup. I can generate pg 2 of example file, because it does not have links on it.

I cannot “Print to File” using the Print Document menu or “Save as PDF”.  These are features that have been used for years and are included in the FM functionality.

Can you show us what sort of links you're creating?

So you have isolated the issue to page one—that's a good start. Normally, links in Fm are just fine and convert to clickable links in the PDF, when you convert correctly. I'm curious to hear the answer to Jeff's question—to see what exactly is going on with those links.

Hi,

I find this error message  a bit strange. There isn't any offending command.

See also here for a list of PostScript errors:

Best regards

You may probably avoid the issue. I have had some trouble with that issue too. My workaround is:

Close FrameMaker

Search for *.tmp on C:/ and delete all tmp files that you are allowed to delete.

Run FrameMaker pdf generation again.

It has been my experience that FrameMaker (or perhaps it is Windows) does not delete or ignore the tmp files, as it rightly should. This gives problems with all sorts of publishing - pdf, but also html5 etc, and manually deleting the tmp files help.
