I've been using FrameMaker 2017 for the past several months without any issues. As of yesterday, the software will not start—either indirectly by clicking on a FM file or directly through the Start menu. There have been no changes to the system, and I am using a standalone home copy.
I need to be able to open documents. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi S Teasdale:
I see a few other threads on this topic here in the forums, but no responses were marked as correct fixes—the best advice seems to be to contact Adobe Support.

It seems that they are unable to fix the problem. If anyone has any solutions, I would be glad to hear them!

Any interesting log files at:
C:\Users\{$username}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FrameMaker\15\
Do you have everything you need for a re-install?
Media or download
Authentication key (if those are still used)
or registered user credentials?
What Windows updates, or A/V updates, might have been applied just before it broke?

There is nothing in the C:\Users\{$username}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FrameMaker\15\ folder.
I've done a complete re-installation and still the same problem.
I'm not sure of what specific updates were applied before it broke, as I was out of the country from February to April. However, it still works fine on my laptop, which has the same updates.

@s Teasdale - is this on a Win 10 machine? There's been some reports of a Win10 update messing up FM and Save As PDF functions - maybe it's messed up your FM instance too.

Bob may have meant the \14 directory, as Fm 2017 is version 14.
