Framemaker 9 How to show serial number

Hello,

I need to find out the serial number of my installed Framemaker 9 (9.0 WIN UPG).

Where can I find it? (It is not shown under HELP - About Framemaker like in Version 7...)

If you registered the software, I think the info is included in your Adobe account information profile, which lists the products associated with your account.

Then, a point of clarification... are you asking about the true serial number, or the software key, which you need to install / update?

I'm not sure that serial numbers are recorded in the software at all, but keys are stored in the registry. You can retrieve them with any key reader; I like Belarc Advisor a lot. Free from http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html . It's not a bad idea to keep the profile in a safe place, off your system, just in case you need any of the info to revive a downed box.

I actually need to know the "software key" = number which is on the package and needs to be input while installing FrameMaker.

With the Licensing manager system in use since FM8, you won't be able to. You have to consult your

distribution media or download info for the s/n.
