Now, i've been dealing with tha huge problem for me....

I need to change 2 or 3 things at manuals with 300pages or more, but bookmaks appear corrupted characters at languages with special characters so i have to copy paste at bookmarks every heading....there must be an easier way...and talking about that i'm using m editor - drag and drom mif files and following a huge procedure to convert fonts at find and replace files so that appear correct...is there an other programm that i might use and make my job easier??

Thanks so much!!!!

Unfortunately your screen shot didn't make it into your posting. Perhaps try attaching it as a file instead.

If you are using FM7, then the only way to get unicode book marks is to use the TimeSavers tool mentioned earlier. You might also want to have a look at this FAQ using FM7 and CE fonts:

    http://www.opticentre.net/FAQ/Adobe-FrameMaker/Problems-in-FrameMaker-7-with-CE-fonts/

and this PDF by Shlomo on the whole issue of non-Western fonts in FM7:

Which version of FM are you using? Since v.8 FM has had the capabilities of inserting unicode characters in the generated PDF bookmarks.

Which languages and which fonts are you using for those languages?

With earlier versions of FM, the only way to include unicode enabled bookmarks was to use Shlomo Perets' Timesavers tool:

Can you plese be specific by what you mean "appear corrupted"? Better yet, you can include a screen shot using the insert image tool (the little camera) in the forum reply box.

You still haven't indicated which version of FrameMaker you are using. The behaviour when dealing with various languages changed substantially when it was made unicode aware with version 8.
