how to reinstall PDF printer

something happened, and now it does not do "Save as PDF"

"Framemaker could not find Adobe PDF printer instance, which must be installed to execute Save as PDF command."

I did reinstalling FrameMaker 2019 (64b), but no change.

FM does print to PDF.

Thanks, I had not known that the FM pdf printer shows in printer list.

Reinstallation alone was nor enough. But first uninstalling and then reinstalling did the trick. And now Adobe PDF shows in printer list and Save as PDF works. 🙂

IIRC, even the headless version of Acrobat installed with FM creates an AdobePDF printer instance. If reinstalling FM as an admin didn't solve the problem, contact the FM folks at tcssup@adobe.com

Do you have the full Acrobat install or just the headless one that comes with FM? Do you have an Adobe PDF printer instance in your list of Windows printers?

Just what comes with FM. Full printer list is: Fax, Gaaiho PDF, HP Scanjet scanner, HP universal prioting PCL6, Microsoft print to pdf, microsoft XPS document writer, OneNote, Scansoft PDF Create.

This is just the same as in my previous computer. And in that FM2019 worked.
