How can I set a different resolution for images converted to *.GIF when I save a book as HTML? Why doesn't the conversion to JPG work?

FM's internal HTML output is quite dated, so the controls are very minimal as most of the setttings are hardwired for the graphics conversions. Mif2go is a much better option for producing HTML, if you don't have the TechComm Suite. If your FM version is from the TCS, then you're much better off using RoboHelp to convert to HTML.
What sorts of failures are you seeing for the JPG option? Are all of the graphics contained within anchored frames (FM only converts these)?

Hi
I am running a stand-alone version of Framemaket 10.I try to convert a documentation with a lot of screenshots in it. Regardless of the settings on the Reference pages of the first document of the book, Framemaker converts all graphic files to *.gif, and these are downsized so much that they become illegible. I would like to have them converted to JPG, with little resolution loss, so they are still readable.
I think Robohelp is too expensive…
Best regards

I believe that internally FM converts everything to EPS not GIF – what format are your source images? The HTML output from FM is pretty weak – that’s why most people use MIF2GO for better control and fine-tuning of the HTML output (if they’re not already using FM in the TCS).
