how to start page numbering from another page

I have a chapter with 12 pages, and would like to start the numbering from page 3 to page 9. By example, page 3 = "1", page 4 = "2", etc ...   How to do this ?

Hi,

In the numbering properties of your file set the page numbering to start at -1. Then page 3 will have page number 1.
In the footer of the page with page numbers insert the Current Page #.
If you have a book, select the file in the book, right click and select Numbering and then click the Page tab. Then update the book.
If you have an individual file without book, set the page numbering in Format | Document | Numbering.

Result : the page 1 displays "-1" / the page 2 = "0" / the page 3 = "1"

1) How to do not display the page number "-1" and "0" automatically ?

2) How to display a page numbering only from page 3 to page 9 (my document is of 12 pages) ?

You need two master pages, one with page numbers and one without.

Then assign the master page without page numbers to the first two pages.

You have to do this manually. Or check, if you can use the Apply Master Pages feature might work for you. You can check the online help first. If you have more questions, then post your questions here.
