Did you email the log file to the address shown?

If you have support, did you call Adobe?

This forum is essentially just user-to-user. About all we can decode from the crash dialog is the 10004, which

means FM10, generic error, Windows version (as is 7103, by the way, FM7, generic, Unix).

You might check:

http://helpx.adobe.com/framemaker/kb/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-framemaker.html

Also, Win7 32- or 64-bit?

And if 64, what variant (basic, home, premium, ultimate, professional, enterprise, etc.)

Hi,

I have sent the error log to the email address shown. There was an auto-reply mail. I dont think there will be a reply from Adobe support team. The mail says "When e-mailing "fmerror@adobe.com", you will get this automated response and the crashlog will be processed in the system. There will not be an additional follow-up regarding the crashlog."

I use a Windows 7 32-bit professional edition. I tried resetting the maker.ini file.

One of my colleagues is also getting the same error. She also uses a win 7 32-bit prof edition.

Thanks.

What do you mean "I tried resetting the maker.ini file"? What are you doing when this error occurs? Maybe we can offer suggestions if we know what you were doing (or continue to do) when the crash occurs.

http://helpx.adobe.com/framemaker/kb/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-framemaker.html

In the above link, please see this point. 4. Re-create the FrameMaker's preferences file. That's what i said resetting maker.ini file. I tried this for solving the issue.

As for the issue occurrence, i dont have a clue when and why it occurs. I just start editing some document, this error pops-up randomly. When i open those documents in my colleague's machine, the error is not occurring. So i guess it is not specific to any of the FM file i am working on. It is something to do with the FrameMaker itslelf.

Have you got your FM workspace configured differently than your co-worker? Can you cause the error to occur when you perform some action? Are you fully patched up with all FM updates?

When does this error occur? Have you updated your copy of FM10? Have you sent in the error log to Adobe?
