Is there a simple way to fix multiple (over 100) "Unresolved Cross-References" in a manual I am updating?
It depends upon what's "unresolved" and when this message comes up.
If it's during a book update and no files are open, it's possible that there is a systematic error such as a missing font, conflicting conditional settings or colour defintions, etc. In that sitaution, open all files in the book first and deal with the issues.
Perhaps a file got moved or renamed. If it was renamed at the system level, all the references to it will be broken. Using FMs Rename option in the book file will ensure tha

1- If FrameMaker finds an unresolved para cross-reference, double-click the cross-reference to display the Cross-Reference dialog box, specify a another source and Replace it.
2- If FrameMaker finds an unresolved spot cross-reference, insert a new cross-reference marker in the appropriate text .
Repeat steps 1 and 2 until all unresolved cross-references are resolved.
Has the marker has been moved to another file or the file has been renamed ?
