Is there any way to create a minitoc in DITA, using the section titles within a topic?

I am using Framemaker with DITA, and some of my topics include multiple sections. It would be so great to generate these topics with an automatic miniTOC at the top, listing the sections within the topic...

I have a clean way of doing this with XSLT in FrameMaker. I am going to post a YouTube video in the next couple of days. I will share the link when it is ready.

You can use Insert > Table of Contents > Create Mini TOC, but it will likely be unstructered and make the topic invalid. This may not be an issue if you are not saving back to XML.

The best approach may be to mock up the TOC using valid DITA and then use XSLT to add the TOC on import to FrameMaker. If you can send me a topic offlist, I can mock something up here. Thanks. rick at frameexpert dot com

Thanks for helping! Actually, I'm at a loss because the Create Mini TOC command is greyed out. Is there any part of the structured document I should be inserting it at?

It looks like the Mini TOC commands are disabled with structured documents. I tried it with a DITA topic, and it's grayed out for me too.
