new variable to update page number automatically in the summary of changes

Participant ,

Hello,

Is it possible to create a variable that will automatically be the page number of where a section is in the document?

I am asking because every time I have a major change in the doc I need to update the pages in the summary of changes which is considerably time-consuming...

Thank you

You can't use a variable for this, but you could make the page numbers a cross-reference to something on the page. Use the <$pagenum> building block in the cross-reference format and you should be all set.

Yes, and then it forms a link as well, so that you can click on it, and jump to it immediately.
