Setting pdf link properties defaults

New Here ,
Nov 03, 2009 Nov 03, 2009

I'm using FrameMaker 9 to create a book that contains many internal links (as well as external links using the Timesavers plugin).  When I save the book as a pdf, everything converts like it should.  However, all the internal links in the pdf have their respective link properties appearance set to visible rectangle with the underline linetype. All the external link properties are set to invisble rectangles with solid linetypes What I want is for the internal links to appear like the external links, that is, as invisible rectangles with the solid lineype. I do not want to have to go through the entire pdf (almost 2000 pages) page by page to change the link properties.  Is there a way to set the link properties defaults before I make the conversion from FrameMaker 9 to a pdf file using Acrobat 9?

Thanks!

PDF link properties cannot be controlled from within FrameMaker. As you already use the FM-to-Acrobat TimeSavers add-on, I suggest to check/optimize the TimeSavers settings, Links tab. Also, if the external links are defined through custom hypertext markers (TimeSavers "shortcuts"), you can control properties for these separately.
