Table alignment issue

Explorer ,
Feb 03, 2023 Feb 03, 2023

Hi,

I have a table that I need to move to align with the table title. What is the best way to proceed?

Please see the attached image.

Thank you for any help.

Cheers,

Elizabeth

Looking at the screenshot I think there is a left table margin defined (as the table is leaving the column on the right).

Hi Elizabeth:

I agree with @mk-will. Look in Table Designer > Basic > Table Margins, again visible in @FrameMaker-dk's screen shot, below the open menu. Remove that value and update style. If for some reason that doesn't do it, please share a screenshot of the table with the Table Designer, open, and showing basic properties so that we can see your settings.

It looks as if your table has been set to Center. Might that be the reason?

Elizabeth:

Again, please take a moment to show your text symbols prior to posting a screenshot. It will always help us help you more quickly.

It appears that your title is its own paragraph. In FrameMaker, we incorporate our titles into the table itself, as per @FrameMaker-dk's screenshot. Click in the table, open up Table Designer > Basic and change Title to Above Table and update the table style. Then select the title paragraph and drag it into the frame that appears above your table and assign the TableTitle paragraph style. Finally, set the alignment in Paragraph Designer > Basic.

Hi,
I have performed the changes you mentioned, however the table is still not aligning with the Table Title. Please view the attached screen. (I turned on the text symbols.) I'm not sure what else to do to resolve this issue.

Thank you.

Cheers,

Elizabeth
