When converting a task topic to FrameMaker with a <note type="warning"> wrapped in an <info> element doesn't seem to flow down to the attribute type="warning (or caution)". Even when the note is selected, the Structure View still shows the parent step or substep element. My EDD includes:
If context is: step
Use paragraph format: step.info.continue
Else, if context is: substep
Use paragraph format: substep.info.continue
Else, if context is: note [type = ”caution”]
Use paragraph format: caution
Else, if context is: note [type = ”warning”]
Use paragraph format: warning
But the type is not getting resolved.

Jeff,
Also, the out of the box EDD doesn't include the Context Rules for note[type="warning"]. I added them to the EDD and applied the updated EDD to the book templates hoping that it would work after the default didn't.

Sorry, I'm strictly a self-taught unstructured FM user myself - need some people like @frameexpert or @Matt-Tech Comm Tools who know structured FM to chime in.

So it's not an <info> thing it's a <note> thing.

I am in Savannah and have been without power until today, but one thing that helps troubleshoot an EDD is to select the element in the structure view and choose Structure > Show Element Context. This gives you a panel that has a simplified view of the EDD so you can see which rules are being applied.

For others, what specifically resolved the context issue?

The out-of-the-box FrameMaker EDD specifically calls out Task topic elements and removed formatting at the very end of the specification for first paragraphs. So any formatting that you thought that you were applying was getting overwritten. I happened to track that down by fortunantly viewing content with multiple <note> elements in the same <info> element.
