I want to migrate a bunch of documents that are based on an old template to a new template. Is there a simpler and quicker way to do it?

Than what?

Have the old document and the new template open.

File > Import > Formats

Thanks.

When I import the formats, I have both old and new styles in the document. I understand that I need to delete the old styles and manually apply the new styles. Is my understanding correct?

I find applying styles imported through File > Imports > Formats is time-consuming. I am looking for some simpler method.

What I expect is when I delete an old style, I should be able to specify an alternate new style. Is there any option available?
